PGSuper™ Overview PGSuper™ is our Precast-Prestressed Girder design and analysis software. This software has been developed by the Bridge Design Office's of the Washington and Texas Departments of Transportation for the Alternate Route Project. PGSuper™ can be used to design, check, and load rate precast-prestressed girder bridges in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification, WSDOT criteria, or TxDOT criteria. The flexural design feature computes the number and configuration of prestressing strands and the minimum required concrete release strength. The shear design feature determines the number, size, and spacing of transverse reinforcement for vertical shear, horizontal shear, bursting, and strand confinement. Specification checking evaluates girders for compliance with strength, service, and detailing criteria. Girders are evaluated for stresses and stability during handling and transportation. Temporary prestressing to control camber, improve stability, and reduce concrete release strengths may also be input. The capabilities and constraints of local fabricators have been accounted for in this software product. PGSuper™ has been designed to allow for future expansion and updating as design criteria and user expectations change.

WinBDS analyzes or designs orthogonal bridge frames and is applicable to the majority of concrete bridges being designed today.
CROSS SECTIONS may by specified by using a predefined, standard box
girder superstructure shape or by adding or subtracting geometrical
parts using predefined part codes.
LIVE LOADS can be automatically generated for the AASHTO HS20-44 and the
California P13 truck by simply giving the number of live loads lanes
may be applied to the structure by describing the axle loads, distance
between axles and number of live load lanes. Uniform lane loads can be
defined with moment and shear riders. Other automatically generated live
loads include the Cooper Loading and a user defined vehicle of up to 97
axles.
PRESTRESSED CONCRETE analysis and design capabilities include:
Continuous prestress, Simple span prestress, Segmental prestress, 100
prestress cable paths per frame, 3D cable friction losses, Primary and
Secondary effects, Cross-section analysis, Ultimate capacity check,
AASHTO shear requirements, Tendon elongations, and calculation of AASHTO
long-term losses.
OUTPUT results are organized in the same order as the input data. All
input data is echoed in the output reports. Output reports include
section properties, dead load and additional fixed loads results, live
load force envelopes, prestress results including required P-Jack, mild
steel requirements, and shear design stirrup requirements. Additional
reports are generated for the Rating Subsystem and Prestresed Precast
Girder Subsystem.
GRAPHICAL DISPLAY of moment and shear envelopes are available after an
analysis has been performed. Additional plots are available for
deflections, top and bottom fiber stresses, prestress force, prestress
cable path and influence lines. These plots can be displayed for all
spans in the bridge or for an individual span or for any sequential list
of spans. Where applicable, the plots include the different trials that
are available, such as: dead load, added dead load, live load no. 1
(both negative and positive envelopes), prestress, etc. These loads can
be plotted individually or combined into one load case

WinSEISAB v5.0.7 - Seismic Analysis of Bridges
Program Overview
WinSEISAB (Windows SEISmic Analysis of Bridges) is a computer program
specifically developed for the seismic analysis of bridges. The overall
objectives in developing WinSEISAB were to provide the practicing bridge
engineer with a usable design tool and a vehicle for implementing the
latest seismic design methodologies into the bridge engineering
profession.
WinSEISAB contains the Uniform Load (AASHTO Procedure 1), the Single
Mode Spectral Analysis (AASHTO Procedure 2) and Multimode, i.e.,
response spectrum, Spectral Analysis (AASHTO Procedure 3) methods
included in the current AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway
Bridges, Division IA [1], which adopted the “Guide Specifications for
Seismic Design of Highway Bridges” [10] in 1990. The Guide
Specifications are based on the ATC report: “Seismic Design Guidelines
for Highway Bridges” [2]. Consequently, the AASHTO response spectra used
in WinSEISAB correspond to those that were previously identified as
‘ATC-6.’
WinSEISAB can be used to analyze simply supported or continuous deck
girder-type bridges with no practical limitation on the number of spans
or the number of columns at a bent. In addition, earthquake restrainer
units may be placed between adjacent structural segments. Horizontal
alignments composed of a combination of tangent and curved segments are
easily described using alignment data taken directly from roadway plans.
Connections between the superstructure and the substructure and between
adjacent superstructure segments at span hinges can be specified with
either a keyword force release or by using bearing elements on a
point-by-point basis. The flexibility of the soil and foundations at the
abutments and column bottoms is easily included using stiffness
coefficients or individual piles grouped into pile footings.
WinSEISAB has generating capabilities that will, with a minimum amount
of input data, automatically build a model consistent with the modeling
techniques currently being used to conduct dynamic analyses. Seismic
loadings in the form of acceleration response spectra are stored within
WinSEISAB and may be easily referenced by the user, or a site-specific
spectrum can be utilized. WinSEISAB can perform a static analysis in
which dead load forces are generated using structure mass, but WinSEISAB
does not perform a combination of dead load and seismic forces
