The Standards and recommendations contained in this advisory circular
are recommended by the Federal Aviation Administration for use in the
design of civil airports. For airport projects receiving Federal
grant-in-aid assistance, the use of these standards is mandatory.
At certificated airports, the standards and reccomendations may be used
to satisfy specific requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)
Part 139, Certification and Operations: Land Airports Serving Certain
Air Carriers, Subpart D.
