This guide is
intended for clients, project managers, and engineers in consultancies,
engineers and laboratories who are responsible for commissioning,
designing, organizing, conducting and interpreting loading tests on road
bridges ant foot bridges prior to their acceptance. It must also
provide the basis for a normative document to accompany Eurocode EN
1991-2. Until they become law, the recommendations in this guide should
be stated in the contracts drawn up between participants and the client.
To this end, its different chapters all specify the role of each party.
